A chain and sprocket travel is a type of power transmission in which a roller chain engages with several toothed wheels or sprockets, found in motors as a drivefrom crankshaft to camshaft.
Ever-power is proud to share a wide selection of Sprockets along with our huge variety of agriculture, gardening, preparing food and outdoor goods. We stand behind all 26,000 items we sell with our Satisfaction Guarantee. Customer Service may be the cornerstone of us business, and has recently been for over 50 years.
Application
Ever-power travel sprockets provide tough, reliable service and feature replaceable tooth plates for convenient field protection. Tooth plates for 102 and 142 series chain are available with a segmental/symmetrical reversible tooth profile. The 142 DBL, TPL and also the 175 and 260 series use our nonsymmetrical profile.
Travel sprockets weren’t always made to be bolted about. At one time these were welded onto the final drive motor and needed to be cut off when they were replaced. Gradually, welded-on adapters were set up that allowed the sprocket to always be bolted on, and newer designs utilize the bolted approach altogether.
When someone sends in your final drive motor for us to have a look at or?rebuild/reman, we advise them to eliminate the sprocket. We don’t require the sprocket in spot to evaluate the electric motor and the added weight (which is often significant) unnecessarily heightens your shipping costs.
Signs of Sprocket Wear
The teeth on a travel sprocket are where you look for wear . They must be tall and toned towards the end, not sharpened or dished by the end. And the sprocket, and even more specifically its teeth, get started to wear, its diameter becomes scaled-down. This causes what is known as a pitch mismatch, where the tooth on the sprocket no more connect to the track links as effectively. This can accelerate the use of the sprocket and decrease the efficiency of your products.
If your sprocket shows sign of excessive wear, then its time to replace it before it starts to cause abnormal track wear or starts to negatively affect the performance of your final drive electric motor.
Preventing Sprocket Wear
One of the key ways to prevent accelerated sprocket have on is to check the track tension. If the strain is too tight, it’ll cause dress in on the sprocket teeth. We’ve talked before about the value of keeping the undercarriage clean, and the health of the undercarriage make a difference the track tension (especially if there is normally a build-up of dried mud and particles). That’s the main motive we put so very much emphasis on keeping the undercarriage clean
Conclusion
With out a functioning drive sprocket, your track drive won’t have the ability to propel your machine. Fortunately, there are ways to help your travel sprocket last longer: keep the track stress at a proper level and retain your undercarriage clean.
DRIVE SPROCKET
The undercarriage of your track machine should be inspected regularly. If you discover early wear or harm to your tracks, a worn sprocket may be the cause.

All Ever-vitality sprocket tooth profiles are induction hardened to 55 Rockwell C., and so are replaceable. The substitute and maintenance of tooth plate segments does not require removing of the travel shaft, bearings, etc. Ever-power also designs custom split hub components for retrofit applications that minimize discipline labor costs.
At first glance, you might think that if you’ve seen one travel sprocket, you’ve seen all of them. However, Ever-ability possesses added an I.D. lip and spiral ring that captivate the needle bearing along with an exterior snap ring that improves performance and stability. While simple to overlook, it’s this focus on fine detail that the racer features come to expect from Ever-power.
